Dining Chairs

For a standard dining table around 75 cm high, look for a seat height of about 45 to 48 cm. That leaves comfortable leg room under the table. For a kitchen bench or bar, you need taller stools instead.

Allow about 55 to 60 cm of table edge for each chair. A 150 cm rectangular table fits four to six, and a 180 cm table fits six comfortably. Round tables around 120 cm seat four. Leave about 90 cm behind each chair so people can pull out and walk past.

It depends on the listing. Chairs are sold singly, in pairs or in sets of four. The number is shown in the product title or description, so check it when comparing prices.

PU leather is the easiest, just wipe it with a damp cloth. Timber and metal chairs are also simple to clean. Velvet and fabric feel softer but need prompt spot cleaning after spills, so they suit homes without little kids.
