Bar Stools

Measure your bench. For a standard kitchen bench of about 90 cm, choose a seat height around 65 cm. For a bar about 105 cm high, choose around 75 cm. Gas lift stools adjust across a range, which helps if you are between sizes.

Allow about 60 cm of bench width per stool, so a 180 cm bench fits three comfortably. Give swivel stools and stools with arms a little more room. Leave space at the ends so people can get on and off easily.
